Course Information
Summit Green Valley Chiangmai Country Club, formerly Chiangmai Green Valley, established in 1990, was designed by a well known US designer, Denis Griffiths & Associates. This 18-hole championship course, par 72, extends 7,202 yards from championship tees, or 6,490 yards from regular white tees, lies on a natural plain and embraced by scenic mountain views. The impressive layout offers real challenge to golfers of all handicaps, with large water ponds and sand bunkers, and thick rough, guarding every hole. To reach each green in regulation, golfers must stay on fairway and avoid surrounding obstacles. The elevated greens, with big slopes, are difficult to handle, placing approach shots on upslope position is highly recommended. The course rewards precision and smart golfers, while reckless and big hitters may face severe penalties.
Facility
The Lanna style clubhouse, with cool and cosy atmosphere, is fully equipped with spacious locker rooms, Angsana Spa, and Pro shop, as well as standard riving range, chipping & putting greens, golf carts, and a large pool of experienced caddies to help you mastered the difficult layout. The club’s restaurant provides all day dining with wide variety of International cuisines, overlooking scenic view of the golf course.
How to get there
Summit Green Valley Chiangmai Country Club lies in Mae Rim town, just 15 km. north of Chiang Mai or 20 minutes drive from Chiang Mai airport, via the Chotana road.

This difficult par-4 measures a handful 416 yards from championship tee, or a respectable 384 yards from white tee, offers true challenge to golfers of all handicaps.
The ideal tee shot requires a long and straight drive to open fairway, avoiding water hazards and large sand bunkers on both sides.
The real challenge and excitement come with the approach shot onto a sloping green. If your drive is short, or landed in the thick rough or sand bunker, just lay up.

For those fortunate to reach the green in regulation, one must stay focus for more tough tasks ahead. The tricky 9th green, with sharp slopes, is very difficult to read, trusting an able and experienced caddy is highly recommended. To walk away happy with a one putt birdie, or a comfortable par, your tee shot needs precision placement, on the up slope and close to the flag. Any tee shot landed in the water, or in the sand bunker, or over shoot the flag and on the down slope, may easily end up with a bogey or worst.
