Course Information
Royal Hua Hin Golf Course is the oldest golf course in The Kingdom of Thailand, opened in 1924 in the reign of King Rama VI. This historic golf course, designed by a Scottish railway engineer, is located just behind the old railway station and was traditionally called Hua Hin Railway Golf Course. The existing 18-hole,par 72, course extends a challenging 6,655 yards from men tees and 5,691 yards from ladies tees, undergo major renovations in the 1980’s that have brought the club up to its present day championship standards. Constructed around the base of a limestone mountain range, the course is covered in lush vegetation that clings to the edge of the rocky overhangs and boulders. The Royal Hua Hin Golf Course offers tempting tee shots facing natural elevated terrain and jungle surroundings, as well as breathtaking views over the Gulf of Thailand, making this course a must play for any golfer visiting Thailand.

How to get there
Royal Hua Hin Golf Course lies in the heart of a seaside resort town of Hua Hin, next to the historic railway station, with captivating beaches and sea breezes. It is located about 2-hour drive, or approx. 190 kms, from Rama II expressway exit, via Rama II, and Phet Kasem road .

This unique par 3 is one to marvel, it has a breathtaking view of Buddhist temple that perched on the limestone hillsides, naturally blend into the dense vegetation of the surrounding area. The challenge and excitement come with the tee-shot which required accurate play into a small elevated green, well guarded by many large sand bunkers.
The hole extends a challenging 149 yards from the men tee, or 131 yards from the ladies tee. The yardage is grossly misleading as the steep elevation required an extra iron (or two) number to be added to the tee shot.
The small undulating green, with sharp slopes and tricky lies, is very difficult to read, trusting an able and experienced caddy is highly recommended.
To walk away happy with a one putt birdie, or a comfortable par, your tee shot needs precision placement, on the up slope and close to the flag. Any tee shot landed in the sand bunker, or over shoot the flag and on the down slope, may easily end up with a bogey or worst. What ever the outcome, take your time on this unique hole and savor the breathtaking scenery all round.
