St. Andrews 2000 features 18-hole Championship golf courses, par 74, stretches an astounding 7,557 yards from back tees, or a demanding 6,325 yards from regular white tees. Desmond Muirhead created an uncompromisingly tough golf course, featuring elevated tees and greens, tight landing zones, split elevation fairways, huge putting surfaces and two par 6’s, that will test even the best of golfers to their limits. Working with a spectacular undulating natural landscape, St.Andrews 2000 was built to replicate the wind-swept Scottish links courses, offering an uncompromising challenge aimed at players with handicaps of 18 or lower. Opened in 2000, at the dawn Pacific Century, St. Andrews 2000 is well recieved as one of Asia’s top championship course.
Facility
A prefect clubhouse with a spacious open aired lobby, luxurious locker areas, and fully equipped Pro shop. The clubhouse’s restaurant complex, with breathtaking panoramic view of the golf course, features finest international cuisines.

How to get there
St. Andrews 2000 is located in a picturesque hilly countryside of Eastern Thailand’s Rayong provice, just over ½ hr. drive from the famous seaside resort town of Pattaya.

Signature Hole
“easygolfbooking.com” recommends hole # 4, par 6,as a must play hole. This amazing par 6 demands a combination of both power and accuracy, with the strategic positioning of hazards forcing the player to remain focused on each and every shot, as one mental error can be very costly. This tough hole will test every club and trick in your bag, and leave you with lots of stories to tell your friends about a challenging experience that will create lasting memories.
 The hole extends a testing 717 yards from the back tee, or a challenging 642 yards from regular white tee, with large pond guarding left side of the fairway and rocky terrains to exert pressure for a good tee-shot. A good tee shot will mentally set you up to play the rest of the hole. It requires a drive that carried over 180 yards, to land on a fairly narrow fairway.
The 2nd and 3rd shots are less demanding, two straight fairway shots on a relatively fat landing zone. Depending on your confidence and position after the 2nd shot, you could try to go for the green on the 3rd shot. Where possible, be to the right of the fairway as the angle to the green is easier, and avoid water all the way down the left side.
After playing so many difficult shots to get to the green, stop and take a moment to re-focus on the putting game. The green is large and two-tiered, with lots of dips, breaks and curves, making the read on your first putt extremely important. You need to position the ball close enough to the flag in order to achieve a memorable birdie or par, or you may easily ended up with a miserable score on this amazing par 6.
