Course Information
Muang Kaew is one of Bangkok’s best-kept golfing secrets. It offers a challenging and superbly maintained 18-hole championship golf course that is quietly tucked away from the noise, hustle and bustle but still only 20 minutes from downtown Bangkok. In 2003, the original course was re-designed by the Schmidt-Curley Design Compony, and upgraded to its existing high standards. The par 72 course measures a handful 7,015 yards from professional’s blue tees, or a testing 6,521 yards from member’s white tees. There are numerous challenging holes, all set in a parkland environment with lakes and canals winding their way through the course. The fairways are lined with a variety of matured trees, which give Maung Kaew its great ambience and exciting golf. The “Golfing Oasis” in Bangkok is waiting for you.
Facility
The modern clubhouse offers a full complement of 1st-class facilities and services: a golfer’s bar & restaurant, a fully stocked pro-shop, spacious locker rooms, swimming pool and fitness center.
How to get there
Muank Kaew is less than 20 min. drive from downtown Bangkok, and just 10 min. away from the new Suvarnabumi airport; conveniently located on KM# 7.7 (in-bound ) of Bangna–Trad Hwy.

Signature Hole
“easygolfbooking.com” recommends hole #6 , par 5 & HCP 1, as a must play hole at Muang Kaew.
The ultimate challenge and excitement of this most difficult hole lies with a spectacular approach shot to a small and well guarded green. The elevated narrow green is tightly tucked behind a deep & large sand bunker guarding its right side, with another deep bunker protecting the too far left approach shot. A large lake lined the righ side of a narrow fairway leading to the green, adding more pressure to the approach shot.
This par 5 hole stretches a handful 550 yards from professional’s blue tee, or 530 yards from member’s white-back tee. It requires a confident drive along a relatively long and wide fairway, to allow for a stress-free 2nd shot positioned well short of the large lake, and safely set up for an exciting approach to the green. If you are fortunate to get to the green in regulation, you may walk away happy with a rewarding birdie or a par; or be content with a bogey if your approach shot got wet, or landed in the deep sand bunker.
