Course Information
The Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai, formerly Chiangmai-Lamphun Golf Club, is the sister course of the famous Alpine Golf & Sports Club in Bangkok. Chiang Mai’s latest championship course, designed by the world-famous Ron M. Garl, boasted the best in natural beauty from the nearby forests and magnificent hills in its horizon. The new 18-hole layout (par 72) measures 7,541 yards from the championsip’s black tees, or 6,814 yards from standard white tees. The course maintained a clear "Alpine" philosophy, designed along championship standards to challenge serious golfers, although indeed anyone who enjoys golfing in the fresh country air, and close to nature, would find it equally pleasant.

Facility
Fully equipped with Pro shop, driving range, chipping & putting greens, golf carts, and a large pool of experienced caddies to help you mastered this challenging championship course. The Alpine Golf Resort also offers a 4-star hotel, fully complemented with Heritage Spa, meeting facilities, fitness centre, and restaurant.

How to get there
Alpine Golf Resort lies 25 km. south of Chiang Mai town, or less than 30 minutes drive from Chiang Mai airport, via the outer ring-road (airport – Sankamphang section).

Signature Hole

“easygolfbooking.com” recommends hole # 9, the island fairway hole is both beautiful and difficult.

Playing over water twice and almost directly into the prevailing wind makes this hole a challenging ending to the front nine. This difficult par-4 measures 456 yards from championship tee, or 427 yards from white tee. It offers a heartbeat challenge to golfers of all handicaps

The tee shot is all important on this long par-4. The best line is down the right half of the fairway. This requires the longest carry over the water but if successfully done, it also leaves the shortest shot with the best angle to the green.

The medium-size green is well guarded by a big pond cutting across front edges, and two large sand bunkers franking both sides. For those fortunate to reach the green in regulation, one must stay focus for more tough putting ahead.

To walk away happy with a one putt birdie, or a comfortable par, your approach shot needs precision and closed to the flag. Any tee shot landed in the water, or in the sand bunker, or over shoot the flag and on the down slope, may easily end up with a bogey or worst. What ever the outcome, take your time on this unique hole and savor the breathtaking surrounding scenery.

Come and conquer Alpine Golf Resort # 9 hole and enjoy golfing with “easygolfbooking.com”.
