Course Information
The brand new Red Mountain Golf Club features an 18-hole golf course that ranked among Thailand’s best, and arguably “the most exciting golf course in Phuket”. The course designer, Jon Morrow, has create a highly strategic and challenging layout, stretching 6,781 yards over the back tees; a fitting complement to it’s older sister , Loch Palm , a shorter and gentler course. While the course is undoubtedly challenging, numerous risk and reward options create a fun playing environment, exhilarating test of golf, and a breathtaking scenic tour around a course destined to become Thailand’s golfing landmark. Winding its way through mountain terrains, formerly tin mine sites, the course has been cleverly routed to take advantage of a huge variety of landforms and dizzying elevation changes. Holes have been sculptured into and through rugged rock cliffs and canyons, perched on precipitous ledges climbing to a high plateau cut away from the mountain by decades of mining. Great care has been taken to route holes so that players have to face the full range of natures hazards: wind, water, slopes and elevation changes.

How to get there
Red Mountain is right next to Loch Palm Golf Club, it is conveniently located in the middle of Phuket Island, in Kathu district, just 7 kms. from Phuket town centre and 15 minutes away from the popular Patong beach.

The yardage on scorecard reads only 169 yards off the back tee, or just 140 yards off the standard white tee. It looks easy enough until one experienced this exciting par 3 hole; drive your ball from tee with a vertical drop of over 40 metre down into the green at the bottom of a valley, through towering trees.
The challenge is on correct club selection, compensating for large elevation drop and swirling wind, brave and accurate iron shot onto a small green is well favored.
