Course Information
Mae Jo Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72, championship course, beautifully designed to blend in with its natural terrains and spectacular surroundings. The course features rolling Zoysia grass fairways and large challenging Korea Velvet greens with beautiful views of Doi Suthep and other surrounding mountain ranges. With thousands of matured Longan, Lychee, Mango, Pomello, and Tangerine trees alongside its fairways, the golf course looks and plays more like a well-matured course rather than a newly constructed one.
From the yellow tees, low handicappers will play the course 6,537 yards long while higher handicappers can play from white tees with the course being 6,199 yards long. Ladies or senior golfers may play the course at 5,511 yards from the red tees. The course also features several elevated tees, not only allow golfers to enjoy the panoramic views of the course, the fruit orchard and the surrounding mountain ranges, but also to make plays on the holes more interesting and challenging, and guaranteeing a complete satisfaction for all.
Facility
The contemporary Lanna-style clubhouse holds all the facilities to satisfy every golfer needs; ranging from spacious locker rooms, pro-shop with golf equipment rental, cart rental, and driving range. Dining delicious dishes at terrace restaurant, golfers can enjoy breathtaking views of the sun setting behind mountain ranges.
How to get there
Mae Jo Golf Club locates right behind Mae Jo University, the oldest agricultural college in Chiang Mai; the course is less than 30 kilometers, or only 20 minutes drive, from downtown Chiang Mai and the airport.

This short par 3 measure 147 yards from yellow tee, or 133 yards from white tee, stretches across a large crystal lake. The ideal tee shot requires a lofted and straight drive to the middle of a relatively small green, avoiding water hazards and large sand bunkers all around. Club selection is essential, especially in windy conditions.
The challenging aspect of this hole is more psychological than technical. View from an elevated tee may be refreshing to single handicappers, or seasoned golfers, with a short iron tee shot close to the flag and walked away happy with a birdie, or a par.
But for the weekend golfers, view from the tee can be stressful. The tee shot must carried the large lake, or your golf ball will get wet. The numerous sand bunkers surrounding the small green may also come into play if your shot strayed too far left or right, or if you overshoot the green.
